Shannon Cowie

Shannon is currently in her second year at the University of Glasgow studying Medicine, having previously graduated with a degree in Pharmacology. She is very involved with Gaelic at the University and has, in the past, been a part of the Gaelic Residency Scheme “Taigh na Gàidhlig” for 2 years. She has also played a role as a committee member for the Ossianic Society and through this work at the University, she received the Daily Record award for Gaelic Ambassador of the Year in 2016. In her spare time Shannon also works together with friends on a Gaelic and Irish Gaelic blog website ‘Ceangael’. Shannon is a former Fèis Rois participant who plays the tin whistle and is a former pupil of the music school in Plockton.
