Gaelic Conversation

Whether you are a fluent speaker or have just started learning the language, we have a couple of different online opportunities to practice your conversational Gaelic!
Còmhradh ri… (fluent speakers & intermediate to advanced level learners)
On the first Monday of each month, Còmhradh ri…” will feature monthly special guest speakers, with the opportunity for a Q&A. These online sessions will be in Gaelic and are aimed at fluent speakers and intermediate to advanced level learners, however everyone is welcome, and there is no pressure to contribute.
Next dates:
- Monday 1st December, 18:30, Mairi Britton. Màiri will be our guest speaker next month and will be talking about Cainnt is Ceathramhan (Language and Lyrics), a Gaelic folklore project in Nova Scotia.
This online conversation is free to attend, via Zoom, and is aimed at fluent speakers as well intermediate to advanced level learners.
Cearcall Còmhraidh / Gaelic Conversation Circle (intermediate level)
Our new format of Cearcall Còmhraidh is aimed at intermediate level learners and will take place on the last Monday of every month. This informal Gaelic conversation circle is the perfect place for Gaelic speakers and intermediate learners to practice speaking Gaelic with likeminded learners in a safe and friendly environment. Beginners & listeners are welcome and the sessions are completely free.
Next dates: 24th November 2025 & 26th January 2026
